60 Seconds With... Phil Rolink

We had 60 seconds to ask Phil Rolink, Maintenance Team Leader, some quick-fire questions. So here’s what he had to say:

  1. What part of the world do you call home?

I am lucky that I can call Scotland my home. Although I’ve been to Dublin quite a few times and if I could move anywhere in the world, then it would be my top choice.

  1. What was the name of the last book you read?

29 Seconds by T.M. Logan. I love a book with lots of twists.

  1. What is your favourite holiday destination?

I’m not the biggest fan of the sun, so I don’t generally go to warm destinations, anything higher than 20 degrees, and I’m hiding in the shade! So I prefer a city holiday, and my favourite place so far that I have visited has to be Barcelona.

  1. All-time favourite movie?

I really enjoy comedy you can watch again and again.  So at the moment, I would have to say Step Brothers, no matter how many times I have watched it, it has me in stitches every time! I also love Pixar films.

  1. What was the last thing you googled?

What were the odds of the Swiss putting out the French?

  1. What does a typical day look like for you and the maintenance team?

We start every day with a productive team call, where we priorities the workload for the day and discuss any critical issues. To work in the maintenance team, you have to be good at juggling tickets and constantly producing a productive output! The upside to that is that I am constantly learning about our products and the technology we utilise.

  1. What part of your role do you enjoy the most?

I know this might sound a bit cheesy, but I really enjoy the team I work in. Everyone is really helpful and supportive. It can at times get very busy in the maintenance team, so having good colleagues around you really helps.

  1. What project are you looking forward to working on over the next six months?

Hands down, it has to be the V2 project. It is a big new chapter for Traveltek, and I am hugely excited for it to launch and be part of it.
